Rathcormac First Responders group have been on duty since Sunday May 15th at midnight. We cover an area approx 5 km surrounding Rathcormac village, which takes in Bartlemy village & Castlelyons. If someone in the area calls 999 for an Ambulance we will be alerted  - if that person is reporting Chest pain, Cardiac arrest, Stroke or choking. The aim of the group is to go to that patient and give any assistance necessary, including cardiac compression and defibrillation if necessary, UNTIL the paramedics arrive. We are all fully trained & Garda vetted, volunteers from the community. We are a small group and we endeavor to cover 24/7 but most of us work full or part time outside the area, so more volunteers would make our task so much easier.

Training will be provided.
If you need further details please contact our trainer and co-ordinator Emma O'Regan rathcormac.cfr@gmail.com

TEXT ALERT

This is now hugely successful as over 100 people have signed up in the community  and the Text Alerts have been very helpful in alerting all to any suspicious activity in the greater Fermoy Area. If you want to become part of the Text Alert and receive a text from the Gardai every couple of weeks or so informing you of incidents and unusual activity in the area, forms are available in Carmels Post Office and in the Spar from behind the counter

If you have anything to advertise, non-commercial, please fill in the form below and I will publish it shortly there after.
