What this group will do.
Identifying and building upon the potential of Rathcormac to become a centre for buisness will be the main aim of this group. Networking businesses, identifying potential opportunities and addressing challenges that face Rathcormac are objectives. Destination Rathcormac means that we can attract businesses to Rathcormac as well as tourists and day trippers by driving economic activity. Ensuring that current residents know what businesses are here already, identify the skills required and organise training opportunities. Strategic minds with an eye to investment opportunities will be required to complete this group.
Currently under way in this section:
RCC have secured a study through the Rural Regeneration Programme that will complete an Employment Study for Sustainable Jobs, Investment and Innovation. The study will build on exiting information to ascertain and make proposals for the scale, diversity and character of the existing employment profile in Rathcormac and the wider hinterland. This study will need to work closely with current business owners to best reach it’s potential.
